Since 1977 Labradors are members of our family; meanwhile we have already bred our sixth generation (registered by the VDH/FCI/LCD/JGHV). With every litter we have concentrated on maintaining the friendly, reliable and stable Labrador temperament.do have a special reputation for being very active, sociable and happy hunting dogs.

We specialize in breeding versatile gundogs as companions for active hunters. Labradors from our kennel also work in several countries as guide dogs for the blind, drug sniffers, or search and rescue dogs.

All our brood bitches and stud dogs are trained to the gun and have qualified in the field. They are our regular hunting companions and share our part-time job as gamekeepers; some have had specialized training as blood tracking dogs for deer, roe deer, and wild boar. Dogs bred by us have won numerous top class gundog competitions, like the Dr.Heraeus-Prüfung for Retrievers, or the very difficult blood tracking tests for all gundog breeds, Pfälzerwald-Schweißprüfung and Bronzenes Siegel.

We never bred predominantly to achieve success at shows, but quite a lot of dogs from our kennel have been well placed at national and international shows. In 1998, we celebrated our 10th champion, all with working qualifications. Regarding type, we try to breed close to the English standard, avoiding to breed dogs that are too heavy for everyday`s work.

We expect from our puppy buyers that they keep their dog as member of the family in the house, and that they are ready to fulfill the dog`s needs: Lots of personal attention, time, education, walks and work according to his talents.
